Rasmania 102

We saw this beautiful bluebird last weekend when I was up at the gorge with Roy.  The bird put on quite a show for us, patiently waiting for us to get its picture.  This picture is out of place.  This was taken at the McDonalds in Israel (the only place open for lunch on our way to Jordan.  Note the rifle!  This picture belongs to Tracy and Rock Allen.  We had seen a guy in the hotel and again at the wailing wall with a similar weapon and had asked our guide if he was hotel security.  We were told that he was just a regular guy with a permit.  We didn't take a picture, but when we talked about it with Tracy and Rock they produced this one.  It was a different guy (but same idea). From last Sunday: Avie playing with her cousin, Zack.  Love the shoes! We were so late taking Finn and Ila out for their birthday that we ended up getting ice cream with almost the whole Green family (minus Ollie and AJ),  Cub picked out a food mixer for his birthday.  He doesn't pay much attention to toys, so we hope he likes this one; it does move and has buttons, so maybe...We missed the cake and ice cream because we were at the theater. After ice cream we went to Target for Ila to shop (Finn already had his present).  They all rode with grandpa in the Talon.  Don't worry, Cub went with me and Adrienne in his car seat.  Gunnar can drive the Talon, but not in the city.  He has to wait another year to get his driver's license. We were also very late taking Hyeji for her date.  Yuli was lucky and got to come along. Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband.  He's been a great father to our 8 children, and a wonderful grandfather to our 25 grandchildren.  He received a lot of loving messages (complete with pictures) from all of his kids this morning on our family text group.  Roy's definitely made my life more exciting, fun and meaningful.  I'm very thankful for him.  I'm also proud of my sons and sons in-law and their willingness to spend love and time on their children. My own father was wonderful to me, also.  He taught me so much and taught me what was important in life.  He was a great example and a great teacher.  I miss him. It's hard getting the blog written when we're always having so much fun.  This past weekend gave us another few days up at the Gorge.  Nick and Sara and the kids came up, too.  Roy didn't have to do his weekend project alone; with Nick's help he was able to get his ham radio antennas set up.  He absolutely had ...
