Halloween (lots of pictures)

Ori is taking ice skating lessons from Caitlyn (who has now added coaching to her long list of responsibilities).  Ori really wanted to show grandma how much she's learned.  Since she had early out this past week, we were able to meet during an uncrowded public skating session.  Afterwards she really wanted to come home with me.  I looked through my cupboard for a project and found this fleece fabric.  Ori and I cut and tied the edges and then put her name right in the middle of the blanket.  I didn't take an ice skating picture, but I got this one with her showing off her project.  She really enjoyed being over here, so grandpa and I took her to dinner.  She didn't eat much, but it was fun being with her.  Because her birthday is right around Christmas, we don't usually get a birthday date. We started our Halloween weekend at our ward Trunk or Treat.  We took a few of my witches, including the one that cackles while her eyes flash, to decorate our trunk.  There were a

More traveling for Roy

Roy was out of town most of the week again, this time in Ashville, North Carolina.  The good thing about this was it's so close to Georgia, that he was able to fit in an evening with Elise and Andy and the kids.  They were so excited to have him there.  He said that Bevy kept asking him, "hold me." So he'd hold her, but since she can't sit still she'd stay only a minute before she'd get down, then she'd ask the same question again. It took her about 15 minutes to decide she'd had enough attention.  He was able to go to Mav's baseball game.  Elise told him it would be entertaining (I think her word was 'hilarious'), and he said it was.  His visit was short as he headed out the next morning to the Southeast Conference he was attending. Bevy, getting attention from grandpa.                            Max and Mav.  I remember when my                Harvey                       kids could play outside most of the year.    Roy left early Monday morning (two weeks ago) to go to Maine for a business conference. They get a lot of their sales from attending conferences, and it's been a while since there have been any.  Now he'll be traveling a little bit more.  It's an all day trip to get to Maine.  Roy flew into Rhode Island and then drove the rest of the way.  He'll get home Thursday night.  I've been getting a lot done with him gone, but it feels very lonely at bedtime.  It's a big house for only one person.   One of the company's involved in the conference sponsered a lobster dinner.  They are cooking the lobster above with potoatoes and mussels.  Roy said it was a little bit disappointing because the potatoes were undercooked, and quite a few people didn't get lobster because the first people through the line took too much.  Roy got a half a lobster, but before him people were taking whole lobsters and some even took two.  He said the mussels weren't very good muss
