Happy Easter

Happy Easter Update on our sweet Zackary Bridget, Ruby, Greta, Zack and Todd All enjoying baby Zack before his first surgery Getting lots of beautiful smiles. Crista with Zack post surgery The purple shows where the Dr. glued his lip together.  Crista told me they cut the lip like a jigsaw  puzzle so that when it heals, the lip will fuse together well.  The stitches on the lip are to keep the lip closed. Easter Sunday (4 days post surgery) the next surgery is Wednesday  April 3.  He has a hernia that is in need of immediate attention. Both Crista and Todd celebrated birthdays during the past couple of weeks.  I'm sure they celebrated with Todd, but I doubt Crista spent much time thinking about her birthday this year.  Happy birthday, you two! Easter: He is risen! We started our Easter celebrations on Friday night.  Our stake put on a beautiful production for Good Friday.  All of the exterior rooms (and the cultural hall) held paintings of the Savior.  As you walked through there we

The last thing I expected this morning was to wake up to snow.  We had a week of temperatures between 55 and 65,  I worked in the yard for 1 1/2 hours three of the days (weeding) and then this. We had some theater fun this week.  Roy was in Ashville, NC for a conference, so I was able to take 3 grandkids with me to the play, "Seusical the Musical" at our local theater.  It was darling; the actors, singers and dancers did a great job.  I'd never seen it before, so I didn't know what to expect.  It was a well-thought-out play that used many of Dr. Seuss' stories, the main one being Horton Hears a Who.  I took Dojin, Ila and Ollie.  All three were entranced--they didn't talk or wiggle at all.  Dojin told his dad he kept falling asleep, but I think it was because he was very tired by the end.  I never saw him close his eyes.  Ila was also very tired, so I was able to talk her out of stopping by my house to retrieve her sweatshirt on the way home.   We also had th

I've decided that Roy's idea of fun is to do projects.  Once again we made a weekend trip to the Gorge to do some projects around the cabin.  This time we readied the 5th wheel to bring back and sell.  We thought we'd use it with our big family, but the cabin is comfortable.  Since we've only used it once in three summers, we decided we better part with it.  Roy also adjusted the cameras on the house.  He would have gone up again tonight to do some outside work Monday and Tuesday, but as you can see, there 's snow everywhere, so outside work would be difficult if not impossible.  I'm happy about it because he's also leaving town for a conference on Wednesday, so this way I won't be alone all week.  Other than projects we managed to get out for a side by side ride and a long walk to the hub and back. While walking to the hub this horse (?) trotted all the way across the field to walk alongside us.  She must have felt lonely.  She was skittery at first,

Utah happenings Before we left for Georgia we had a big snowstorm.  The Vances were hit hard in Logan.  Todd was extremely happy with the car that Matt built in the snow for him.  Now that we're back from Georgia we're getting hit again with snowstorms.  They're beautiful and we need the water, but I think we're about ready for spring. It was Tom's birthday on the 21st.  Adrienne made the effort to take her family to the grave on his birthday to send balloons off to Tom.  Roy and I went on Friday night (March 1),  right before a big wind and snowstorm so it was pretty cold.  We didn't stay long.  Gunnar wants to go back when it's warmer and do a clean-up job on the grave stone. He's sweet to think of serving that way. Jennie, Caitlyn, Me and Roy at the play "Clue" at Hale Center Theater.   Trip to Georgia for Mav's baptism On Saturday morning, Beverly had a her ballet class.  We tried to get there 10 minutes early to see her dance, but beca
