Pre-Halloween Fun (short letter, mostly pictures)

Roy had a business trip in Rhode Island this past week. We've talked about me going along, but it's a long flight.  If I do go, we'll have to stay a lot longer than 3 days. At least I get a trip to Florida!😁  While he was gone, I tended Ori, Effie, Avie and Camden for the last few days of Nick and Sara's trip to Europe.  Ori brought lots of stuff in order to make lunches every day.  I have things on hand, but I guess she wanted to make sure it was stuff they liked😋.  I think the kids had a great time spending a couple of nights at grandma's.  Ori was a big help and she was really sweet to share her face wash and moisturizing cream with me.  Effie told me that she likes it when I brush her hair because, "my mom gets really aggressive."  Avie was her usual sweet, quiet self, and Cam got lots of attention from me when his sisters went to school.  The weather was beautiful Tuesday and Wednesday, so we spent a lot of time outside.  Dan's kids came over qu

Happy Birthday Dan and Doyeon October is a busy month for birthdays.  This past week it we celebrated 2 birthdays--Dan and Doyeon!  Doyeon is our beautiful, now12 year-old.  She and I enjoyed a fun date to Station Park for treats and a trip to the book store.  She loves reading--just like  her grandmother, who incidentally, she's named after (Catharine Doyeon).  Jennie's currently tending all of Dan's children while Dan, Jieun, Nick and Sara are touring Italy and Switzerland.  Jennie made the chocolate mousse cake.  She said it didn't turn out how she wanted, but it obviously tasted fine. Doyeon, Hyeji and Yuna enjoying the chocolate mousse cake I'll be tending Nick's children from Tuesday to Thursday afternoon next week because Sara's sister has some sort of business trip she has to take.  It'll be good since I haven't seen them for a while. I don't see the Jackson's very much either, though we plan on spending Thanksgiving with them this ye

The Jackson's Camping Trip in Georgia We miss Elise at most of our family activities, but we definitely know how it is to live all the way across the country from extended family.  When we lived in Georgia, it was expensive to call home, so we didn't do it very often.  We also didn't have the blessings of Facetime, Facebook, Instagram, etc.  I'm not sure if all of this technology makes living away easier--or harder.  We know that Georgia is beautiful and that nice weather is enjoyed for a longer period each year.  Elise shared these camping pictures with us. Andy; Harvey "This is the Life" The Jackson's: Max, Mav, Bevy, Harvey and Elise This year Roy has a conference in Florida just before Thanksgiving and I'm going with him.  Following the conference, we decided to stay on the east coast and see the Jackson's while we're at it.  We will fly from Orlando to Augusta and stay through Thanksgiving.  It will be nice to spend some time with them.
