Tending Grandchildren, Sunday Dinner, Snakes and Upcoming Travel

We spent some time with some of our grandchildren this week.  Monday I took Cub while Adrienne went to a hair appointment.  He hasn't had a lot of grandparent time, but he warmed up quickly and we had a good time bonding with him.    We also had the opportunity to tend Ruby, Greta, Bridget and Todd, on Thursday.  On Saturday we had Ori, Effie, Avie, Camden and Yuna for several hours.  We failed to take pictures on either of these days.  Friday, Nick took me to lunch to celebrate my birthday, and Saturday, Dan and Jieun took Roy and me to dinner to celebrate my birthday again.  I've had many opportunities to make this a month long birthday celebration! In my lesson on Sunday we spent most of the hour talking about 2 Nephi 2.  In the 5 chapters that we studied over the two weeks, I found at least a dozen different topics that I could center my lesson around (T his is a land of liberty;    Redemption comes through the Holy Messiah;   Agency is essential;T he Fall, A dam fell that

Update on Zackary Zackary went in for his first casting a week ago Thursday.  As you can see in the picture, both of his entire legs are in casts up to his diaper.  When the took the cast off a week later, his crooked feet looked a lot better.  They put him in casts again for one more week.  He was so happy for the hour or so that his casts were off.  They gave him a bath and Crista got to hold him for a while.  His first surgery is scheduled for March 25. The whole family went with Zack to Shriner's Hospital for his first casting.  Greta mentioned that her birthday was coming up, so the nurses went in search of a gift for her.  They gave all of the children a stuffed animal.  Ruby, Zack, Bridget, Todd and Greta;  They all signed Zack's casts before they removed them. Birthday Weekend  A couple of nights before my actual birthday we went to see Fiddler on the Roof at Hale Center Theater. We took some friends from the ward;  Judy and Burt Winegar.  It was a fabulous production
