Valentine's Week

We had a great time with Ori and Yuna celebrating their 11th birthdays.  Ori's been patient to wait for Yuna to turn 11 so they could go together and pick out their gifts.  Yuna didn't have to wait at all; we went out right on her birthday.
This was the dessert they made themselves before the waitress came over to sing to them,
 birthday desserts in hand.

As if they hadn't eaten enough, the waitress brought them these huge
cookie-ice cream sandwiches.  Ori just moved hers around, but Yuna ate quite a bit of hers.

Shopping with the birthday girls.

Harvey dressed up as "purple."  Earlier he had Elise help him purchase a blue hoody with his own money (and a little bit of Elise's money, too).  When he got home he drew on a face on the hoody in permanent marker because he wanted a costume.  He watches a show called Rainbow Friends.  He wanted to be the blue friend.  Above is a picture of the rainbow friends.  Pretty good for an almost 5 year-old.

Harvey: The first I heard was that he'd had a bug bite that got infected,
but then I read he'd gotten his eye hit at school and then it got infected.

I stole this picture off Facebook, too.  This was Bevy's daddy/daughter date.
I assume with the activity day girls.

We had a lovely time at the play Little Women with Doyeon and Yuna.  Doyeon thought the plot was predictable, but I disagreed.  When I read/saw it for the first time, I was sure Jo would end up with Laurie.

Cub doesn't play with toys, he moves straight to the pantry for his entertainment.  Now he's trying to figure out the food processor.  Don't worry, Adrienne took the blade out.
Huge feat for our Zack.  He's sitting up by himself now.

I stole the next group of pictures off Facebook.  Adrienne and AJ took Finn and Ollie to St. George for championship play-off games.  They made it to the finals, but didn't win the whole championship.  In the final game, the opposing team purposefully walked Ollie; twice.  They didn't want to take the chance of him hitting the ball.  Both boys played fabulously. The weather looks like it was nice, but a bit chilly.

Finn: You can see how much he is enjoying the game; See Ollie at bat in video at the end.

While the Greens were playing baseball in St. George; we went back up to the Gorge for the holiday weekend.  It was COLD.  I have included a few pictures of our snowy walk.

Dallin and Cait joined us on Friday.  Dallin is standing on ice here.  We had to go where it was really shallow water to find ice enough to hold our weight.  We had fun throwing rocks onto the ice to see if they would break through.  They mostly just made a great thumping sound.

It snowed enough to line our pathyway

This vehicle is called a SHERP.  The wheels are so wide, they float.  This woman was fishing off the back while her husband drove.  We looked it up and the cost of these vehicles is ridiculous ($150-180,000).  There are other ways to fish for a lot less money.

The view from the dock.

We attended church at the Gorge.  The meeting was great.  When we got home we were treated to a video of Greta and her friend singing, I Will Find My Own Sacred Grove (pre-church practice).  Then at 2:00, we turned on Nick and Sara's stake conference to hear Effie and Ori sing "I am a Child of God" with a few other primary children.  All three did a great job.  I'm so glad they're sharing their beautiful voices with others.
