More Christmas Fun

I had some dental work done this week this week (and last).  I broke a tooth eating banana chips.  I thought the banana chip had an extremely hard center, but it was my tooth I was trying to bite into.  Because I needed a crown, I decided to change dentists and go to Stephen.  My dentist is great for cleaning and xrays, but Roy had some problems with him when doing an implant (Stephen was able to finally get it all fixed).  I got the one crown, and while at the appointment, Stephen showed me a few other teeth that had some problems--one with a crack all the way down.  He said if that one broke it could cause me some real discomfort, so I opted to go back another day for another crown.  When I got there (Monday morning), somehow the lady in charge of insurance and payment talked me into doing three at once (best for the insurance).  So, I've had some jaw and tooth pain throughout the week.  I've also been biting my cheek because my jaw feels o...

December 1 to December 14: Beginnings of Christmas (and Happy Birthday Yuli)

Image
Our house looked amazing after returning from our short trip to the Gorge the last weekend of November.  Caitlyn had come and put up all our Christmas decorations.  One year I threatened that I was getting too old to put the tree up and she has done our decorations ever since. Crista spent the night Sunday night (Nov. 30th) in order to be able to get to Primary Children's Hospital by 5:45 AM.  Zack had his appointment to get the prosethis out of the top of his mouth in anticipation for his pallet surgery in January.  His mouth needs time to heal before they can operate. Zack at the hospital, waiting for the doctor. (Surgery is scheduled for January) Happy Birthday Camden!  We finally caught up with Camden and took him out for his birthday.  He was 5 on November 11.  We took him to Chick fil A and got him some nuggets.  He said dinosaur nuggets are better than Chick fil A nuggets.  I have to disagree.  A few days after our date, Jennie ga...

Happy Thanksgiving and Some Family History

Image
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  We have so much to be grateful for.  Our Savior and His gospel; our wonderful family and the abundance of darling grandkids; A beautiful area to live in; and reasonably good health.   This year was the year of the in-laws for the holiday.  Elise went with the Jacksons to Universal in Florida.  Adrienne went with the Greens to Disneyland.  Nick and Sara planned on cooking for Sara's family, but Sara and Ori have Covid, so they are home trying to recuperate.  Crista is in Mapleton with the Vances, and Dan and Jennie and their families are having dinner with us.  At least we weren't completely abandoned.  Dojin looked at me shortly after arriving and said, "Are we all that's coming?"  It's just not the same without all the cousins. Foster, Dojin, and Yuli watching TV Jieun and Elijah Hyeji The Vances were in Mapleton, but Matt sent me this picture showing their Home Depot craft activity Nan was over on Mon...
