Yuna's baptism

Yuna turned eight in February but she had to wait until March for her baptism.  We had all of the family present for the event, except for the Jackson family, unfortunately.  We also celebrated Thomas' birthday because we were finally able to get everyone together.   Congratulations, Yuna.  We are so pleased that you have chosen to take this step.  Each week when you take the sacrament you can remember the covenants that you made this day.
I was honored that Yuna asked Crista and me to play the musical number.  We played, "My Heavenly Father Loves Me," which is Roy's favorite primary song.

                  Yuna with Jieun

This is the best picture we got (it's hard with 17 young children).  Yuna was closing her eyes in every shot.  Back row: Yuli, Jordan, Roy, Jennie, Dan, Jieun, Dallin, Caitlyn, Crista, Bridget, Matt, Todd, Camden, Nick, Sara.  Middle and front:  Greta, Finn, Dojin, Doyeon, Ruby (also with closed eyes), Yuna, Hyeji, Ori, Gunnar, Avie, Effie, Adrienne, Catharine and Ila.

We got some fun candid shots of the kids:

Camden and Gunnar (The Green boys love their baby cousins)

Avie, Doyeon, Ila, Effie and Greta.  Cousins are so much fun!

Finn, Todd and Gunnar

Catharine, Todd, Finn and Gunnar/ Yuli and Hyeji

And later at  home:

Camden loves Yuli, but he also knows he can take her down!  Ila with Cait in the background.

Adrienne, Yuli, and Gunnar/ Ila playing with the toys (this picture was taken a few days previously when I tended for Adrienne while she went Heli-skiing with AJ)

The next few pictures were taken by Ruby.  She taught me a few things about my phone.  I hadn't figured out how to get to the camera without opening my phone.  She showed me.  I also have never tried the black and white feature.  Her pictures look pretty artistic.  I'd say it's pretty good that a 6-year old can teach her 62 year-old grandma about technology.

Matt; Camden; Crista and Todd.  There were more, but these are a good sampling.

Ruby, Effie, Greta, Avie and Bridget.  This is after everyone but the Vances and the Nick Rasband's had gone home.  Crista stayed the night.  Saturday evening we tended the Vance girls while the Vance parents went to the Jazz game.

Todd

Sunday morning Crista and Matt were getting ready for church and packing up to leave.  Matt's in the bishopric, so they had to get back for their ward.  Roy turned on the Choir at Temple Square at 9:30 am.  I told Greta she needed to get dressed for church, too.  She pointed to the TV and said, "But...Conference!

As I mentioned above, I tended Ila on Thursday (I think it was Thursday).  She was a lot of fun.  Here she is trying to hide behind the counter so I can't take her picture.  Once she stood up, I took the shot.

It seems like it's been forever since we had the family together.  It was chaotic, messy, and fun. The brisket, made by Dan, and the turkey, made by Roy, and all the other dishes that everyone contributed were delicious, as usual.

Since I'm so late writing this letter, I'll include a couple of things from this week.  First; Congratulations to Gunnar for winning "Battle Books" at his elementary school.  He was team captain and led his team to victory.  We're not surprised at all, since reading is one of Gunnar's amazing talents!

Gunnar in the middle!
They won 9 Book Battles!

Each of our kids have had their share of trials lately.  Nick's family and Dan's have both dealt with a lot of sickness.  Jieun has had a long recovery since her car accident.  Dan went to the Instacare today and found out he had a 9 mm kidney stone which is causing him grief and will probably cause him grief for a few more days.  AJ's mother had a serious stroke this past week--right after his dad has dealt with some serious health trials.  Caitlyn has had Covid for the last couple of weeks.  She finally went back to work, yesterday.  Crista and Matt's sister-in-law lost her 51 year old mother who had an embolism--complications from surgery...Not to mention that the world is in chaos.  We know to Whom we can turn for help and comfort.  Don't forget that prayer is powerful.  Keep close to the Savior and He will help us get through all of our trials.
