Happy Birthday to Bridget.  She's officially 5 now, so she can start Kindergarten in the fall.  We love our spunky, cute and sweet little Bridget!   We had tickets to two plays this week: The Time Machine at the Jewel Theater at Hale; and Kiss Me Kate at Centerpoint Theater.  We took Ori and Yuna to the first (no picture) and Nick and Caitlyn to the 2nd.  We wanted to take someone to Kiss Me Kate who was familiar with the lead.  Ben Lowell played Fred Grahm; Ben was our next door neighbor (before he was married) in Bountiful.  We didn't wait around to see Ben, but we caught up with his brother Jonathon and his wife.  They have 5 children.  His older sister Sarah has 9. Fred Graham, also known as Petruchio, is  an egotistical but likable actor who directs and stars in a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew with his ex-wife, Lilli Vanessi, quoted from the Internet.  Neither Nick nor Caitlyn was familiar with the show beforehand, and they both looked confused, as if they we

June birthdays etc.

June Birthdays We have three June birthdays in our family.  Cub's was first on the 18th.  We got to see him smash his first Birthday cake.  I don't know when this tradition started; I know I never did it with my own kids.  Cub loved it, once he got the idea.  Adrienne had to quickly nap the sugar adornments because they were the perfect size for choking.   Cub;  Cub with Adrienne and grandma in the background Max also had a birthday on the 20th.   Max.  Elise had this posted on Facebook.   Max is now 11! The third birthday is yet to come.  Bridget will be 5 next week.  Hopefully I'll have a picture to include. Jieun sent me these pictures to show that Yuli appreciates the gift I gave her in December (for her birthday).  It's the little doll and doll blanket.  Apparently she's been carrying it around a lot.  She's a little sweetheart.   Yuli with Doyeon at left.  Dan, Hyeji, Yuli and Yuna (?) She even wants her little doll buckled with her.  Dojin and Yuna are in

Summer/Lake Powell

We celebrated Father's Day in Lake Powell this week.  I am so grateful that I had a wonderful father who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ and shared with me his love for the scriptures and history and was able to interconnect history, science, and the gospel.  He showed the connection between history and the scriptures in his book, "The Time of Jacob's Trouble." (Finished and published when my dad was 92 years old). If you haven't yet read it, you should.  It's excellent!  I am so amazed at all my dad accomplished in his life.  His ability to love and to forgive was a great example for his children.   I'm also so blessed to have an amazing husband who has been a great father to our children.  He's also given them an example to follow of love and service, and so many other things.   We went to Lake Powell with Adrienne and AJ for 8 days, so I didn't write a letter last week.  I am going to highlight a few things from last week: This is the score
